I am
Anisah Miley.

At my core, I am a person in a body that understands the impact of individual and collective trauma.

I know how it feels to be overwhelmed, ready to grow, in transition, and in need of accountability and balance.

I use she/they pronouns.  I am a Black, Queer, mostly Femme presenting New York State licensed psychotherapist with a focus on anti-oppression, mental health and trauma, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ issues.  I have formal training in DBT, EMDR (Level 1), and Internal Family Systems (Level 1).

I am here to partner with you as you move toward healing.  I have had experience working with individuals, couples, and groups navigating issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, internalized oppression, racialized trauma, gender/sexual identity, and problems in family, social, and romantic relationships.

I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I have worked in support of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals for over 20 years. I have over a decade of experience as a psychotherapist. My clinical experience includes work in community, hospital, and academic settings in NYC.
